The endeavor was a multi-faceted exploration into the landscape of human emotions, encapsulating the journey from external perception to internal reality. Originating with the concept of SELF-PORTRAIT and segueing into the realm of the PARALLEL WORLD, the projects utilized the medium of photography and film to probe the complexities of human identity as it is both perceived and experienced. Emotions, often captured evocatively in film, emerged as a poignant thread connecting our internal and external worlds. They became not merely byproducts of experience but transformative elements in their own right, capable of shaping perceptions and archiving memories. A heightened awareness of one's emotional spectrum, as well as that of others, revealed itself as a potent tool for effective communication and emotional governance.

HomeSituated within a contemporaneous cohort, the performance served as an evolving repertoire, a choreographed sequence of gestures orchestrated across time and matter. Driven by the intent to dismantle perceptual barriers, it sought to offer an experience that was at once totalizing and authentic, unfiltered in its rawness and at moments, deliberately vulgar. The piece projected fluctuating realities, navigated through the terrain of both individual and collective cultural climates. Material enunciations, occasionally translated into embodied expressions, added depth to these realities. While the experience may have been defining for those involved, it's important to acknowledge the inherent performativity that characterizes us all. Existing within the fluidity of time, we remain, ultimately, beings of inexplicable elasticity, ever-adaptive and continuously evolving.

In this performative opus, six quintessential human emotions were extrapolated from our previous cinematic works: Confusion, Annoyance, Happiness, Sadness, Fear, Excitement The performance was designed in two interrelated layers. One layer employed the scrutiny of facial expressions as a mechanism for decoding emotional nuances, while the other unfolded through a curated series of short films. The spatial elements of the presentation were thoughtfully crafted within a wardrobe, serving as the backdrop for this multimedia event. Soft materials such as gauze and cotton were deliberately chosen to manifest a sense of emotional fluidity, analogous to the effortless movement of sentiments through a room. With the purposeful utilization of this semi-public space and delicate materials, the objective was to envelop the audience in a fabric of raw, unfiltered emotional expression. Emotions are inseparable from our essence; they are the lens through which both the world and the self can be reevaluated. Through acceptance of our emotional complexities, we enable reinvention and reconnection, opening up new avenues of understanding and dialogue.
